Effective communication is a core component of successful leadership. Studying the communication process is important because leaders coach, co-ordinate, counsel, evaluate and supervise through this process. It underpins the chain of understanding that integrates all members of an organisation. In focusing on this core area of leadership, this course will have three key elements:
self-awareness to explore what kind of communicator you are;
how to communicate well in writing, persuasion, listening, talking and feeling;
implementing communication that is effective in the workplace, identifying blocks and liberators.
