Audience: All Practitioners who have achieved Early Years Professional Status
Age Range: 3-5 years
Early Years advisory staff have a duty to monitor, evaluate and provide challenge for the settings they are supporting.
This course will:
explore what is involved in monitoring, evaluating and challenging practice;
promote the understanding of the importance of giving settings clear, rather than mixed, messages about quality;
consider some of the key areas causing confusion within the EYFS (DCSF 2008);
include participation in evaluation exercises;
identify ways of giving feedback which challenges thinking, but which does not demoralise colleagues.
