The CWDC are producing a DVD focusing on leadership and the role of the EYP. Further information will be available soon.
Ofsted will be publishing examples from submitted SEFs in order to demonstrate good practice. This will be available later in the year.

Vetting and barring scheme to be put on hold.
Jun 15th, 2010 The vetting scheme for nine million people working with children and vulnerable adults in England, Wales and Northern Ireland has been deemed "draconian".

The DCSF launches Support for All: The Families and Relationships Green Paper
Feb 3rd, 2010 Support for All sets out a broad cross-Government strategy on supporting families and relationships. Evidence shows that parental involvement in their children's education has a significant positive effect on educational achievement, not just early on in life, but also into adolescence and adulthood.

CWDC and University of Wolverhampton launch EYP research project
Jan 14th, 2010 EYPs are being asked to take part in an online survey, ending on February 19th 2010, which is collecting data on the impact EYPs are having on the quality of early years settings.

CWDC Invite You to Take Part in Developing the Common Core
Nov 24th, 2009 CWDC state "The common core is working well, but we want to make it even better. A refreshed version will be published in March 2010 and you can help shape it by taking part in the common core consultation."
